The Ministry of Education and Culture launched a Crimean Tatar language and literature course for schoolchildren

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine together with the educational platform “All-Ukrainian School Online” launched a Crimean Tatar language and literature course for students of the 5th-6th grades of the “New Ukrainian School” (NUS).

This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Culture on Facebook.

It is noted that the course consists of 140 lessons that will “immerse children in the world of Crimean Tatar culture, language and literature”.

This course is an opportunity to preserve and develop the unique language and culture of the Crimean Tatars, to ensure access to quality education regardless of the students' place of residence. Each lesson is a journey through the traditions, history and nature of Crimea. Leading specialists and culture bearers worked carefully on the creation of the classes, the MES noted.

The assistant of the Turkology Department of T. Shevchenko KNU and the author of the textbooks Seit-Jelil Abibulla and candidate of philological sciences and assistant of the Turkology Department worked on the creation of the classes. Sabrie Slastyon of T. Shevchenko KNU.

Anyone can take the course – it is open access. It was developed by leading specialists and culture bearers.
