The man from Sumy incited enmity in social networks

The investigation established that a 36-year-old man published texts and images on his social network page that negatively characterized one of the Middle Eastern countries and its citizens on religious and national grounds.

The suspect published posts that, according to experts, contained calls for a hostile attitude and expressed hostility towards the religious community associated with this country. The publications were accompanied by images that symbolized contempt for this state, including the destruction of its state symbols.

In addition, during authorized searches at the man's place of residence, police officers seized narcotics from him. The findings were sent for expert examination.

Currently, investigators of the investigative department, accompanied by employees of the Security Service of Ukraine under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office, have informed the attacker of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
