Warner Bros has just released a new image for the animated film The Lord of the Rings. A new image which reveals more about the aesthetic aspect of the feature film.

The Lord of the Rings: it’s what is this animated film?

Expected on December 11 in French cinemas, The Lord Of The Rings: The War Of the Rohirrim is an animated film adapted from from the work of Tolkien. Directed by by Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell, Star Wars Visions, Blade Runner – Black Lotus), the story will focus on the powerful King of Rohan, Helm Hammerhand, and a legendary battle that helped shape Middle-earth. The action will take place approximately 200 years before Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy.

When Wulf, a cunning lord, and avenger of Dunlending, launches a surprise attack to avenge the death of his father, Helm and his people must hold their position in the old stronghold of Hornburg, later known as Helm's Deep. In the midst of these dire circumstances, Hera, the daughter of Helm, must seek the courage to lead the resistance against an annihilating enemy.

A new image

At the moment, no trailer has been released. revealed. But the lucky little ones who were at the Annecy Festival were able to see 20 minutes of the film. In the meantime, Warner Bros has shared some visuals here and there. Today, the studio has rewarded fans of 4 new and exclusive images. 4 superb visuals which convey a little of the identity of the visual of the film. The animation seems a bit old school, and almost inspired by Asian cinema like that of Miyazaki. vocal casting, the feature film brings together a fairly impressive cast including Brian Cox, Gaia Wise and Luke Pasqualino.
