Ukraine exported goods worth more than $3.16 billion in August 2024. This is 6.4% more than in July and 17.5% more than in August 2023.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Economy.
In terms of value, rapeseed or rapeseed was exported the most – for $421.3 million, in terms of physical volume – ores and iron concentrates, the export of which reached 2.5 million tons.
In the agricultural sector, Ukraine exported:
- rape – 878.9 thousand tons for $421.3 million;
- sunflower oil – 226.9 thousand tons, worth $203.1 million;
- corn – 774.5 thousand tons for $137.4 million;
- barley – 524.8 thousand tons for $89.7 million;
- poultry meat – 39.9 thousand tons for $89 .5 million.
< li>wheat – 2.24 million tons, worth $420.4 million;
For the second month in a row, exports are growing thanks to the early start of harvesting and the improvement of sea logistics. In August, we increased cargo turnover by sea transport by 224.7 thousand tons, or by 3.6% compared to July. Ukraine remains the guarantor of food security in the world, – noted the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko.
In August, Ukraine supplied foreign markets with more than 2.2 million tons of wheat for $420.4 million. After the record figures of February 2024, this is the second record figure for both volume and value since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
