There were 9 people on board the helicopter that crashed in Brovary. The causes of the crash are not yet known. This was announced by Deputy Head of the President's Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko at a briefing.
As a result of the plane crash in Brovary the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs died: Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky, First Deputy Minister Yevgeny Enin and Secretary of State Yuri Lubkovich.

Law enforcement officers are considering all possible versions of the helicopter crash in Brovary, which killed at least 18 people, including the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This reports  ;Prosecutor General Andrey Kostin.
“Now investigators and experts are working at the scene of the tragedy. Urgent investigations are underway. We are currently considering all possible versions of the helicopter accident. The pre-trial investigation is entrusted to the SBU investigators, – he wrote.
Kostin noted that the case is under his personal control.
The tragedy occurred on Wednesday morning, January 18. Information about the helicopter crash near the kindergarten was confirmed by a representative of the police of the Kyiv region Pryanishnikova, and the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Kyiv region Andriy Nebitov also arrived at the scene.
According to local residents, they heard explosions and saw clouds of black smoke.
According to the head of the Kyiv regional military administration Oleksiy Kuleba, during the tragedy there were children and employees of the institution in the garden, everyone was evacuated.
At the same time, the head of the police, Igor Klymenko, said that the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine was on board the helicopter; , of which 10 children.
