The Kremlin shamefully returns its “peacekeepers” from Nagorno-Karabakh

Media reported in Azerbaijan about the beginning of the withdrawal of the so-called Russian “peacekeepers” from the territory of the former unrecognized republic of Nagorno-Karabakh, which Baku returned to its control.

By According to reports, the first composition and military equipment of the “peacekeeping contingent” left the territory of the Khudavang temple in the Kalbajar region. A contingent of Russians left there just a few days ago and now the Azerbaijani police have entered there.

Musavat citing "reliable sources" claims that the process of the final withdrawal of the Russian contingent from the territory of Azerbaijan has begun.

According to his information, the withdrawal of Russians from the base in Khojaly also continues. “The historic and large process is expected to end in a few days. With this, Azerbaijan restores full sovereign control over Karabakh and all its lands,” – writes Musavat.

Russian "peacekeeping" the contingent was temporarily stationed in Karabakh following a trilateral declaration signed on November 10, 2020 between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia.

After a lightning-fast one-day military operation of Baku, launched on September 19, 2023, Azerbaijan actually returned to its control Nagorno-Karabakh.

As a result, more than 100 thousand ethnic Armenians left Karabakh for Armenia.
