The Kremlin assessed the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic for the Russian economy. The Russian authorities are taking measures to minimize the negative consequences caused by the coronavirus infection.

The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the instability that manifests itself in the world economy cannot but affect the economic potential of the Russian Federation. We are talking about the dramatic nature of the global economic environment. At the same time, the Russian Cabinet of Ministers is taking measures and mitigating the negative consequences of the economic crisis.

Peskov noted that it is necessary to talk about dependence, including the manifestation of instability, which is currently being observed.

Earlier, the vice-head of Alfa Bank, Yevgeny Nazarov, predicted the exchange rate of the dollar and the euro for September, taking into account the stability of oil and the dynamics of the spread of the new wave of COVID-19.
