The Kremlin asked for negotiations, but Ukraine refused

Russian officials asked Ukraine to resume negotiations after a successful counter-offensive by Ukrainian forces, but Kyiv refused.

As Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishyna said in a comment to France 24, Kyiv will start negotiations only after it has achieved its military objectives.

Stefanishina is convinced that the temporarily occupied Donbass and Crimea will return to Ukrainian control and called on European leaders to impose additional sanctions against Russia.
