Smartphone iPhone 17 will inherit the main chip from iPad Pro

Several Apple gadgets will receive a new case at once. This is reported by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg.

In his latest newsletter, the journalist said that Apple will continue to keep the course of creating thin devices. And it won't be limited to just smartphones:

«I was told that Apple is now focused on creating a much more compact smartphone before the release of the iPhone 17 line in 2025. The company also plans to make the MacBook Pro and Apple Watch even thinner. It is planned that the latest iPad Pro will launch a whole class of Apple devices, which should become the most compact in the industry», – said Gurman.

Most likely, Apple paid attention to the success of the latest iPad Pro – updated tablet with a 13-inch screen. Its thickness was only 5.1 mm, which is even smaller than the iconic music player iPod nano. It is not yet known for sure whether it is about the entire line of smartphones or about the iPhone 17 Slim, which, according to some insiders, will replace the Plus version.
