For the first time in such a weapon system, ACLOS technology was used, which makes it possible to do without global navigation satellite systems.
The Israel company Aerospace Industries (IAI) officially presented the innovative TEASER missile system, which for the first time uses the Automatic Command to Line-of-Sight external optical guidance technology (ACLOS) without using a homing sensor. In fact, it is the first technological solution of its kind adapted to the modern battlefield, especially for infantry units. The innovation was told in more detail in Defense Industry Europe.
The TEASER system is designed to increase the effectiveness of troops in modern combat conditions, offering a universal guided weapon for various operational tasks. The dimensions of the rocket — 70 cm long and 8.4 cm in diameter — facilitate its integration into existing weapon configurations and make it compatible with various optical devices. The guidance system, called Teaser-Sight, has internal channels of day and night vision, which allows you to quickly adapt to combat conditions.

The main advantage of the system — independence from global navigation satellite systems (GNSS), which increases its autonomy in combat operations and makes it effective in the absence of GPS.
A key innovation is the TEASER-SIGHT external optical guidance system, which eliminates the need for traditional homing sensors, reducing the weight and cost of the missile. TEASER-SIGHT can also connect to various external sensors, increasing reliability and versatility.
The missile is equipped with a two-stage engine, which allows fire from closed spaces, which is especially important in urban environments.
The TEASER system supports two modes of operation: shoulder start and remote start mode. In the first case, one soldier can use the missile and the TEASER-SIGHT system, achieving an advantage in high mobility. In remote mode, the missiles can be deployed from launchers on vehicles or on the ground, and the system is controlled via a ground station. at the price of a lethal potential that has no equal in effectiveness,” — emphasized the general director of the MALAM division of the IAI company, Jacob Halifat.
