Huawei Nova series folding phone may be released early next month

Earlier it was reported that Huawei is working on a branded foldable phone  Nova. According to a report by Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily, people familiar with the development confirmed the phone's existence. The phone was reportedly earlier slated for release last month, but was delayed due to some reasons. Now Huawei insiders have revealed that Huawei will release a Nova-branded clamshell in early August this year.

The Nova series clamshell will more affordable than Huawei Pocket 2

It is reported that the external screen of the Nova series flip phone will be improved compared to this year's Huawei Pocket 2. If we talk about the price of the phone, it will be higher than the previous models of the series. However, since the new flip phone will be part of the Nova series, it will be comparatively more affordable than the Pocket series devices.

While not much is known about the internals of the device, we can get an idea of what to expect from the Huawei Pocket 2 , which was launched in February this year.

The phone offers quad cameras (50MP+8MP+12MP+2MP) on the back along with a circular outer display in two circular rings. 8-megapixel — it's a 3x telephoto with f/2.4 aperture and OIS. The Pocket 2 features a hinge that reduces creases by 62%.

In terms of performance, the phone is said to be powered by an in-house developed Kirin 9000s chipset that also supports two-way satellite connectivity. Inside is a 4,520mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charging and 40W wireless fast charging.
