The head of the Swedish Foreign Ministry announced the fulfillment of all conditions for joining NATO

Sweden Foreign Minister Tobias Billström said that his country has fulfilled all the terms of the agreement with Turkey, necessary for joining North Atlantic Alliance (NATO). His words at a press conference on January 11 are reported by Reuters.
According to Billstrem, the kingdom expects Hungary and Turkey to begin the process of ratifying its accession to NATO in the near future. He also emphasized that now is the moment when "Sweden and Finland did what they promised to do under the agreement with Turkey".
As reported by BAGNET, earlier NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Sweden and Finland, who expect to join the Alliance, are already integrating into NATO military structures.
According to the Secretary General, representatives of the two countries are already participating in NATO meetings, including at the ministerial and permanent representatives levels are involved in work in various committees.
Stoltenberg also stated that the North Atlantic Alliance has already strengthened its presence in Northern Europe, and Helsinki and Stockholm have already received security guarantees from some members of the organization.
