The head of the department of the Kyiv City State Administration's “Informatics” KP will be tried for overpaying over a million hryvnias for computer equipment

Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office sent an indictment to the court against the former head of the tender procurement department of KP «Informatics» KMDA.

She is accused of official negligence, as a result of which the budget of the capital suffered losses in the amount of almost 1.3 million hryvnias.

According to the investigation, at the end of December 2022, the utility company «Informatics» purchased computer equipment for the total amount of over 3 million hryvnias. However, the head of the department, who was responsible for public procurement, did not provide a proper analysis of market prices, which led to the purchase of equipment at an inflated cost.

The expertise conducted as part of the pre-trial investigation confirmed the overestimation of the cost of individual components by almost 1.3 million hryvnias.

Currently, the indictment has been submitted to the court. The actions of the accused are qualified under the article, which provides up to five years of imprisonment, deprivation of the right to hold certain positions for up to three years, as well as a fine from 250 to 750 of the tax-free minimum income of citizens.
