In connection with this circumstance, the head of the region has been ordered to stay at home since September 22 and undergo treatment on an outpatient basis. As for the work on guiding the actions of the government, it will be organized remotely. In addition, it is noted that Viktor Tomenko, despite the disease, constantly maintain contact with members of the regional government and heads of all departments. But the events within which the personal participation of Tomenko was envisaged were canceled for the next two weeks.
Commenting on the current situation, the governor also decided to appeal to the residents of the Altai Territory with a request to comply with the recommended precautions and prevention of COVID-19, trying to protect not only their own health, but also the health of their loved ones.
It is worth noting that in the summer of 2020, Viktor Tomenko already had to observe the self-isolation regime for a week, since in June the coronavirus was detected in several employees of his administration and the regional government, who regularly interact and contact with him.
