The successful actions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine allow the active capture of the Russian occupiers. In addition, the number of appeals from Russian soldiers about voluntary surrender has increased. Andriy Yusov, representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, told about this on the telethon.
" We are talking about dozens of Russians every day who fall into Ukrainian captivity – both captured and those who appear voluntarily,” Yusov noted. Yusov noted that there is a program for servicemen of the Russian army. “I want to live”. After the “Synitsa” operation, when the Russian helicopter pilot surrendered with the equipment, the number of appeals from the Russian side increased. Thus, before the publication of the results of the operation, 70-100 applications were received per day, and after – more than 170 applications.
"A thousand applications are currently in the process of implementation, and more than 200 are successful cases of withdrawal from the line front of military personnel of the Russian Federation. This is only according to the “I want to live” program, Yusov said. He added that now there are more than 25,000 applications from those who want to surrender or are thinking about it. There is also the possibility of voluntary surrender in the field, but the numbers are not mentioned for security reasons.
