In 2023 the government will allocate 90 million rubles for the creation of popular science programs and 480 million rubles for the organization of scientific Festivals From IFX

The Government of the Russian Federation is launching a new program of grant support for authors of popular science programs and organizers of events that popularize science, according to the website of the government. The decrees signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin deal with two grant competitions. They will be held by the Ministry of Education and Science.

Authors or groups of authors working on the creation of television or radio programs, texts for print media and other media content will be able to take part in the first competition. The amount of the grant will be from 1 million to 5 million rubles. In 2023, 90 million rubles are provided for these purposes. Organizers of scientific festivals, exhibitions and other events will be able to take part in the second competition. The amount of the grant will be from 20 million to 50 million rubles. The total amount of funding in this area in 2023 will amount to 480 million rubles.

The work is being carried out as part of the implementation of the federal project “Popularization of science and technology”.
