The general director of the Rheinmetall company told when the Skynex and Skyranger systems will be in Ukraine

Rheinmetall CEO announced the arrival of Skynex and Skyranger systems in Ukraine in the near future. Two Skynex systems already protect a 16-kilometer stretch, and the company is also working on a mobile Skyranger system.

The general director of the Rheinmetall concern, Armin Papperger, expressed hope that in the near future the Skynex systems and  Skyranger will be in Ukraine. He announced this in an interview in the telethon.

The first Skynex systems and I hope in the near future Skyranger will also be in Ukraine. And we will be able to protect the Ukrainian military, the Ukrainian people, and what is very important, the Ukrainian infrastructure

– said Papperger.

When asked what technology Rheinmetall currently offers, Papperger said: “At the moment we have Skynex systems – it's a weapon-based system used against drones. They are capable of attacking drones at a distance of 4 kilometers. Skynex systems are currently protecting an area in 16 kilometers, two of them in Ukraine. But you need more and we are working on it”.

He also informed that the company is working on the Skyranger system.

It is based on transport, thanks to which you can easily move on the same front, there is an opportunity to fire an artillery volley. Also, we coordinate missile systems in combination with gun systems. Of course, you need much more

– said Papperger.

Additions

The German manufacturer Rheinmetall  handed over 20 more infantry fighting vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine Marder. Deliveries will take place at the end of the third quarter of 2024.

As Papperger reported, Rheinmetall is now on track to build a powder plant and an ammunition manufacturing plant in Ukraine. By the end of the year, the first state-of-the-art  Lynx infantry fighting vehicle in Ukraine.
