Prague – Today, the national football team will meet in Prague and begin joint preparation for the European Championship qualification home match with Albania and the subsequent warm-up match in Hungary. Coach Jaroslav Šilhavý did not include any newcomer in the nomination last week, goalkeeper Tomáš Vaclík is not in the selection after his recent transfer to the American club New England Revolution. On the contrary, the Czech coach called up captain Tomáš Souček, who did not play for West Ham in the English league on Friday due to injury.

The Czech team will also be missing the best scorer of the current national team, Patrik Schick, who is recovering from surgery and should return to the pitch in October. Defender David Jurásek is also out of the game due to injury. This time there are more players from abroad in the nomination, thirteen of whom the coach called up compared to ten from the Czech league. Brothers Michal and Lukáš Sadílková will reunite in the team. In the summer, defenders Jakub Brabec and David Zima had health problems, but both managed to recover and Šilhavý called them up.
The Czech team will first welcome Albania at home in Prague's Eden on Thursday in one of the key matches for promotion to the European Championship in next year. Three days later, Šilhavé's men will start in Budapest for a friendly match against Hungary. The unusually short meeting will last only a week. Unlike the previous meeting in June, all nominated players will also travel to the second match as part of the preparation.
