(Winnipeg) Johnny Gaudreau scored in the shootout and the Calgary Flames defeated the Winnipeg Jets 4-3 on Monday night.
The winger beat Connor Hellebuyck with a fine maneuver in the fourth wave of shooters, allowing the Flames to post a second straight win.
Gaudreau, Andrew Mangiapane and Christopher Tanev sparked the red light in regulation time for the Calgary roster. Elias Lindholm got two assists.
Jacob Markstrom, who did well in a shutout win over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday, turned back 25 pucks for the Flames.
Kyle Connor, with two power play goals, and Mark Scheifele blacked out the scoresheet for the Jets. Blake Wheeler has set the table for his team’s three goals.
Hellebuyck tied Markstrom in blocking 25 shots, but he made one less save in a shootout.
