Flowering trees attract many tourists every year. This year, the Japanese cherry blossomed two weeks earlier. Mass flowering is expected until the middle of April.

Recently, six palm trees were planted on Babyka street in Uzhhorod. They grow parallel to sakura. In this way, the first tropical alley in Ukraine was formed. A special place was made near the cherry blossoms so that people could come closer and not trample on the grass.

The townspeople already liked the unusual combination of Japanese cherry and exotic palm trees, and the photo flooded social networks, noted journalist Vitaly Glagola.

The first sakura trees appeared in Uzhhorod back in the Czechoslovak period from 1919 to 1939. The tree has taken root well, because the local climate favors it. As a result, entire avenues of cherry blossoms appeared in Uzhhorod. Over time, they appeared in other cities of Transcarpathia.
