Electro-L meteorological satellite launched into orbit
"Roskosmos" planned for February 5 the first launch of the spacecraft this year, and it took place today. The meteorological satellite “Electro-L” went into orbit at number 4.
Proton-M rocket with a satellite and upper stage DM-03 took off from Baikonur at 12:12:52 Moscow time. “Roskosmos” also reported that the launch vehicle had worked normally, the upper stage had separated from the third stage of the rocket and was currently putting the satellite into a given orbit.

Electro-L mass is 2.1 tons, the satellite will operate in orbit for at least 10 years. The orbit altitude of the spacecraft is 35 786 km (geostationary orbit).
