Collider founder Steven Weintrab commented on what he saw:
“I didn't like the last season of “Game of Thrones”. Generally. But I admit that the pilot “Dragon House” well done, I will definitely keep watching. Also showed an extended trailer for the season – looks cool.”
“To anyone who's interested in the series, I can say without spoilers that what I'm excited about is how it stays epic and big while telling a personal story about one family” — says journalist and columnist Christina Radish
But film critic Brandon Katz described his impressions as follows:
“The pilot competently explains the context of the relationship to the original series, introduces the main characters and exposes the central conflict of the series. Nice to look at the picture: bright colors and traced details. An absolutely worthy successor.”
