The first pickup of the KIA brand was presented: what functionality does it have

The new KIA Tasman was presented at an auto show in Saudi Arabia. The first KIA frame pickup will go on sale in early 2025.

KIA Tasman pickup– a medium-sized model that will challenge Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi L200 and Toyota Hilux. It will be offered in versions with two and four doors. The load capacity is 1195 kg, it is also possible to tow a 3.5-ton trailer.

KIA Tasman 2025 dimensions:

  • length – 5410 mm;< /li>

  • height – 1890 mm;
  • wheelbase – 3270 mm.

New KIA Tasman features a brutal chopped design with flared wings and a curved window line. The front part of the car looks quite unusual with a wide radiator grill, vertical headlights and a curved relief hood.

The first pickup of the KIA brand < p>In the cabin, three displays were installed on the front panel: 12.3-inch screens of the virtual instrument panel and multimedia, separated by a small 5-inch climate control touchscreen. The front seats are separated by a high console.

The developers claim that the interior of the KIA Tasman 2025 is one of the most spacious in the class. The rear seats have an adjustable backrest angle and a lifting cushion, under which there are niches for small items. A folding table and two wireless chargers for smartphones have also been installed. Among the options are Harman Kardon speakers and all-round view cameras.

At home, in South Korea, the new KIA Tasman will debut with a 2.5-liter gasoline turbo engine with 281 hp. and 421 Nm. It can accelerate to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and reach 185 km/h. Later, a 2.2-liter turbodiesel with 210 hp will be offered. and 441 Nm. Such a KIA Tasman pickup starts up to a hundred in 10.4 seconds.

The model will be offered with a 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic transmission, rear or all-wheel drive.

The line will also include an off-road version of the X-Pro with increased ground clearance (from 224 to 252 mm), off-road tires, an electronic rear differential and a set of off-road modes. It is capable of fording fords up to 800 mm deep.
