During the presentation, the management of FSUE RSVO presented the capabilities of a device that is capable of broadcasting previously recorded voice signals for notification. There is a special sound amplification unit in the payphone booth, which turns on only in a certain mode. Also, the payphone can work with devices such as P166Ts, which are part of the national high-level warning system. Testing the devices confirmed that they are capable of broadcasting a signal in high quality, while maintaining the basic function of a payphone.
“We have been working on a similar project for a long time. The ability to alert the population through payphones will expand the range of their use. Currently, such devices are the only means of communication in many remote settlements. When they can broadcast emergency alerts, their functionality will become even more useful. Such innovations have already begun, ”said Oleg Dukhovnitsky, who is the head of Rossvyaz.
FSUE RSVO has the competence and resource base in order to organize the production of public warning systems based on the infrastructure of payphone networks, making them universal.
