First improved Vector UAVs have already arrived at the Defense Forces

The Armed Forces received the first batch of 15 improved Vector reconnaissance drones from Intellias and German drone manufacturer Quantum-Systems. The companies significantly increased the resistance of drones to obstacles in global satellite navigation.

In August 2024 Intellias and Quantum-Systems announced a partnership, within which Intellias paid almost UAH 4 million for the production of special interference-protected GNSS antennas in Ukraine. These antennas were installed on 15 Vector UAVs, which are already performing reconnaissance work on the front.

"The results of advanced Vector drones on the battlefield – this is the best confirmation of the value of our cooperation with Quantum-Systems. By joining forces, we not only strengthened the defenders, but also supported the Ukrainian manufacturer, Vitaly Sedler, CEO and co-founder of Intellias

The importance of this project for strengthening the country's defense capabilities and development Quantum-Systems emphasizes the Ukrainian production of anti-interference antennas.

"We are grateful to Intellias for our joint project, which strengthened the capabilities of the military to use the Vector system. Installed anti-jamming receivers allow pilots to receive accurate coordinates of the location of UAVs and targets even in conditions of suppression of GPS signals. This is an important contribution to strengthening the country's defense capabilities and strengthening the intelligence capabilities of the army. And also – in support of the Ukrainian production of the corresponding equipment”Dmytro Gorlin, CTO Quantum-Systems

What is known about Vector drones

Vector UAVs are highly valued by the military for their technical characteristics:

  • Drone weight – 8.5 kg,
  • wingspan – 2.8 m,
  • time in the air – up to 180 minutes.

Special receivers have significantly increased their ability to perform tasks in conditions of suppression of satellite navigation and allow more effective detection of the enemy on the front line.

"We use complexes of Vector systems for reconnaissance and fire correction – both along the line of combat and in the rear of the enemy up to 40 km. The advantages of these drones – vertical take-off, low-altitude silence mode and a powerful radio antenna that provides stable communication with the aircraft at a distance of up to 40 km. The camera allows you to constantly change the image from digital to thermal imaging, regardless of the time of day. >Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Intellias has systematically supported the Ukrainian army, the total amount of aid exceeds UAH 100 million:
