The first Gepard anti-aircraft guns from Germany are already in Ukraine

Germany handed over the first three Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns to Ukraine. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also received several thousand ammunition for them, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said.

He noted that this is only a part of the anti-aircraft guns that Germany intends to provide to Ukraine. In total, the Ukrainian military should receive 15 German Gepards.

“The first three Gepards officially entered today. These are anti-aircraft missile systems, for which several tens of thousands of cartridges have been handed over to us. Accordingly, we expect 15 Gepards. Three have already entered Ukraine today, and they are already at the disposal of the Armed Forces,” Reznikov said.

He also stressed that the Ministry of Defense is negotiating with partners to provide modern tanks, in particular Leopard and Abrams.< br />
“Most likely, we will start with one of the friendly countries that has Leopard tanks and is ready to transfer them to us. First, our plan (to receive – ed.) is several dozen tanks, on which we will conduct exercises of our tank crews, most likely in the Baltic countries … We are now negotiating not only about the Leopard, but also trying to convince our partners that this there may be other tanks, for example, Abrams,” the minister added.

We would like to remind you that today it became known that Poland sent PT-91 Twardy tanks to Ukraine.
