First of all, after an erroneous transfer of money, you must contact a banking institution. Expert Alexey Krichevsky from the Academy of Finance and Investment Management told about this.

At the same time, the specialist recommends not to make such mistakes, carefully checking the details to the recipients before sending money. Since in all applications the data is rechecked during the payment, it is very difficult not to notice incorrect information, but if this still happened, you need to contact the bank and report an error with the transfer. Credit institutions have different procedural rules. In some, the procedure can be carried out remotely, in others you will have to write an application for a refund. The procedure is simplified if both accounts are in the same institution. If the money went to another bank, employees offer colleagues to return the funds voluntarily.
There is another way to reach the recipient. You can send a symbolic transfer, and leave your phone number in the message to try to negotiate on your own. If the recipient agrees to return the money, the issue is closed. Otherwise, you will have to go to court. This option is troublesome and costly, however, as a rule, such cases are resolved out of court.
