The European Union lifted part of the sanctions against the ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and his son Oleksandr, as well as the former Prosecutor General of the country Viktor Pshonka and his son Artem. This is stated in document published in "Official Journal of the EU".

"Based on the revision by the [EU] Council of the record of four individuals against whom <…> restrictive measures expire 6 September 2022 should be removed from <…> [document] 208/2014", — said in the publication.

We are talking about sanctions that the EU imposed in March 2014 on the basis of a criminal case initiated against Yanukovych in Ukraine.

Earlier BAGNET reported that on August 4, the European Union imposed new sanctions against Yanukovych and his son Alexander because of Russia's war in Ukraine.
