Over the next 10 days, Russia plans to launch a new large-scale offensive.
This information is provided by the British edition of the Financial Times with reference to an unnamed adviser to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, writes "Ukrainska Pravda".
According to the report, Kyiv received “very reliable intelligence data” about Russia's intention to launch a new offensive.
The publication calls the occupation of the entire Donbass the goal of the Russian offensive. It is reported that the offensive of the Russian army may begin in the areas of Kremennaya and Liman, where the enemy has been concentrating large forces for several weeks.
In addition, the FT notes that the Kremlin is building up its troops in the south of the Donetsk region, overturning additional forces into the settlements around Mariupol. The publication writes that the aggressor intends to launch an offensive before Ukraine receives Western tanks and weapons .
An anonymous UAF adviser also told the FT that the Russian offensive would likely be led by elite units.
“These are real mechanized brigades, even if they are less combat-ready than they were at the beginning of the war. They reinforced the airborne and naval units. These are not bus drivers and schoolteachers",– he said.
