The developers presented an innovative drone that changes its shape in flight

Engineers have created a new type of drone called Morphy that can change shape to fly through narrow gaps. This development opens up new possibilities for using drones in challenging environments.

Morphy is able to adapt its shape during flight. Its design allows it to shrink in size and fly through gaps inaccessible to conventional drones. This flexibility gives Morphy unique capabilities for research, rescue operations and industrial inspections.

The innovative design of the drone includes interchangeable wings and moving body parts. When Morphy approaches a narrow obstacle, its wings fold, reducing the size of the craft. After overcoming an obstacle, the wings unfold again, returning the drone to its original shape.

Morphy developers say that this technology will allow drones to be used in hard-to-reach places, such as disaster debris, dense forests or industrial areas. objects with restricted access. Thanks to its ability to change shape, Morphy can penetrate places previously inaccessible to other drones.
