The navigator of the An-26 military transport aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force, Oleksiy Ostapenko, who died as a result of a plane crash in the Kharkov region, corresponded with his little daughter just a few minutes before the crash. Such data are provided by the Ukrainian TV channel “1 + 1” with reference to the widow of the deceased, Elena Ostapenko.

“My daughter immediately told me to wait, suddenly he answered her something. She took out her phone and I saw all this correspondence, ”the woman said. According to the widow of the deceased soldier, she felt as if the child had a premonition of something that day. At the same time, the woman added that her husband was very fond of his work and literally “lived by airplanes”, being interested in everything connected with it.
“This is his vocation, his profession. Because he couldn’t change the crane, he didn’t understand anything at all except airplanes, he only knew how to fly, ”Ostapenko recalls.
It is worth recalling that on September 25 in the Kharkiv region the Ukrainian transport aircraft An-26 crashed, on board which there were 27 people, including 20 cadets. According to local authorities, 26 people died as a result of this disaster. Only one cadet managed to survive, the young man jumped out of the aircraft's cabin at the last moment before the crash. At the moment he is in a medical facility with moderate bodily injuries.
