The only daughter of the Queen of Great Britain Elizabeth II Princess Anne spoke about the last days of her mother's life. This is stated in her statement, published in the official account of the royal family in  Instagram, writes The Guardian newspaper.

"I was lucky to share the last 24 hours of my dear mother's life. It  it was my honor and privilege to accompany her on the last journey" — said the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain.

In her statement, Princess Anne also thanked all those who mourn for her mother along her family.

"Witnessing the love and respect that so many show these days is both filling humility and encouragement. We will all have unique memories. I thank each and every one who shares this feeling of loss", — she added.

Finally, she said “thank you” to the British for supporting the new king — her brother Charles III.

“Perhaps this is a reminder of how much we took for granted her presence and her contribution to our national identity. I also thank you for the support and understanding offered to my dear brother Charles as he takes on additional responsibilities as monarch. To my mother, the queen, thank you", — she added.

Princess Anne's statement was posted on social media with a picture of her and dead mother at Windsor Castle. This post moved internet users.

"A beautiful tribute from a wonderful, loving daughter", "What beautiful words", "When I saw Princess Anne bowing to her mother's coffin, u&nbsp ;my heart hurts", "Sorry for the loss, Your Highness, sending lots of love and hugs", — wrote in comments.
