Earlier, the Czech Republic received a gift from Germany 28 Leopard 2A4 tanks and two Buffalo 3 recovery vehicles as a reward for military assistance to Ukraine. The first half arrived in the Czech Republic in 2022 and 2023. According to the ministry, the Czech army should receive all 28 donated tanks by the end of 2025.

In general, the Czech army plans to have 42 Leopard 2A4 tanks and two recovery vehicles.

As reported, the Czech Ministry of Defense plans to purchase two Embraer C-390 military transport aircraft for the country's Air Force.

As a reminder, at the end of August it became known that the Czech Ministry of Defense was not satisfied with Sweden's proposal to extend the lease of 14 JAS-39 Gripen aircraft after 2027 and asked the Swedish side to change it.
