In Moscow, at the age of 81, a Russian children's writer Valery Shulzhik died. He became widely known, including as the author of the cartoon “Funtik”.

According to the information provided, the death overtook the writer on the morning of September 30 in a hospital in the capital. Recently, Shulzhik had serious health problems, and the final three months of his life was forced to spend in a medical facility. The exact reasons for the death of the author are not named.
The most famous playwright brought stories about the adventures of “Funtika”, which were shown in the form of cartoons. Also on his account there are poems, stories and plays, he was engaged in the creation of scripts. The writer's bibliography includes over 20 books.
