The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow refused to remove the politician Vladimir Kara-Murza from the register of foreign agents, SOTA reports.

Oppositionist Vladimir Kara-Murza was recognized as an individual – a foreigner agent in April. The Ministry of Justice indicated that his political activities in the interests of Ukraine were the reason for entering into the register. Kara-Murza himself denies the version of the Ministry of Justice.

The politician participated in the meeting via video link from the pre-trial detention center, where he is being held on charges of spreading fakes about the Russian army. A criminal case was opened because of Kara-Murza's speech to members of the Arizona US House of Representatives. According to investigators, the politician during his speech, “acting on the basis of political hatred”, disseminated deliberately false information that the Russian military was bombing residential areas, maternity hospitals, hospitals and schools in Ukraine, which “caused significant harm to the interests of the Russian Federation.”

Later, the politician was charged in yet another criminal case – on the activities of an undesirable organization. According to lawyer Vadim Prokhorov, Kara-Murza is accused of holding a conference in Moscow's Sakharov Center in support of Russian political prisoners with the money of the Free Russia Foundation (an organization recognized as undesirable in Russia).
