The purpose of the relevant event is to create a “bank of ideas” involving the “re-use” of the museum. Experienced architects or even entire teams of authors and designers, as well as other categories of citizens not only from Russia, but also from the CIS countries, can become participants in the launched competition. It is necessary to create a sketch that would reveal the project of using the structure as a museum. An important point is the creation of a route that can connect the building on Vozdvizhenka Street with the main complex located on Red Square.
Acceptance of applications will continue until October 19, and the most worthy works should be demonstrated on November 11-13 on the margins of the annual Zodchestvo festival. This event will take place within the walls of the Gostiny Dvor complex, and then the winners will be announced. The jury will also include the head of the Ministry of Culture Olga Lyubimova.
