Xiaomi is preparing to expand its product line with the release of the first open-type headphones. The company has confirmed that these headphones will debut at a conference scheduled for April 10, where the focus will be on the Redmi Turbo 3. The Redmi Pad Pro will also be unveiled at the event.

Details about the headphones are limited, but the poster released by Xiaomi on Weibo, reveals the design of the headphones and two color options. The housing matches the color of the headphones and has an LED indicator on the middle frame.

Technical characteristics of the first open-type headphones from Xiaomi are currently kept secret. They are expected to focus on long battery life and wearability, like other competing products on the market.

Unlike traditional in-ear headphones, open-back headphones sit just behind the ear canal, leaving the ears open They mainly use bone conduction or air conduction technologies to transmit sound. Xiaomi's upcoming headphones will use air conduction technology. Orders are now being accepted in China.

Last year, the open-back headphone market sold 6.52 million units, up 130.2% year-on-year.
