The coach of Artamonov, who brought Russia the Olympic bronze, pointed out his mistakes

The head coach of the Russian national taekwondo team, Vadim Ivanov, expressed the point of view that at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, athlete Mikhail Artamonov made several mistakes in a duel with an athlete from Tunisia, Mohamed Khalil Zhendubi. According to Ivanov, because of the excitement Artamonov missed too many attacks.

At the same time, Ivanov called the Olympic bronze a good result for Artamonov.

Russian taekwondo fighter Mikhail Artamonov won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, defeating Argentinean Lucas Lautaro Guzman. The fight ended with a score of 15:10. The award was the second for the Russian team after Anastasia Galashina won silver in air rifle shooting from 10 meters.
