Machenike plans to list shares on the US stock exchange
Chinese gaming laptop brand Machenike, which is a division of Haier, has abandoned plans to enter the Russian market. They included the creation of an official representative office and direct deliveries.
According to Forbes, citing two sources in the computer market, one of the reasons is the company's plans to list on the American stock exchange, which makes working with Russia impossible.< /p>
In addition, there is evidence that Machenike analysts may have overestimated the company's success in Russia last year, when many companies stopped working, and parallel imports were not yet fully operational.
The first batches of Machenike laptops were brought to Russia last summer 2022, one of the main suppliers is Marvel Distribution. The company said that the company's plans not to officially enter the Russian market are unlikely to affect the availability of products in the Russian market.
As for the parent company Haier, it has not announced its intention to leave the Russian market. Moreover, in June 2022 it became known that Haier will expand its production of home appliances in Naberezhnye Chelny by building its fourth plant in Russia. The mayor of the city, Nail Magdeev, announced that Haier has invested almost 19 billion rubles in Naberezhnye Chelny.
