There are many rules and conventions in using a smartphone, which not all users know about, for example, when charging the phone. However, there are cases that can cause panic even for an experienced user.
If the phone does not turn on, PCMag advises not to panic. There are several troubleshooting methods you can try.
Charge the battery
Plug the phone in and let it charge for 15-30 minutes. A dead battery is a common reason why phones won't turn on. This will also help rule out this problem in further diagnostics.
Force Restart
Press and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds for Android. This will cause a restart. For iPhone, press and quickly release the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons, then press and hold the Power button until it restarts. Some phone models require a keyboard shortcut.
Check for damage
Check your phone for any physical damage, such as a cracked screen or a bloated battery. If you find damage , your phone may need professional repair.
