According to experts, the biggest expense item for a car owner is the loss of the value of the car, which begins from the first days of its operation. Experts from RAMR and SberAutopark have even compiled a list of cars that are cheaper the fastest.

“On average, loss of value accounts for 29.3% of all vehicle maintenance costs, which makes this item the most significant,” the experts emphasize. At the same time, it is argued that compact crossovers lose the most in price, the loss in this case can reach 34% in the first three years of operation. Among such cars, the authors of the study included Renault Duster, Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Qashqai and others. Moreover, the indicators in this case differ markedly, so the Volkswagen Tiguan in the first three years of operation is able to lose up to 42% of its original price, while the Hyundai Creta will lose only 18% of its value over the same period. At the same time, similar indicators are recorded for mid-size crossovers, like the Kia Sorento and Skoda Kodiaq.
A little less, experts say, are losing value in class D (31.6%) and C (31.8%) cars. In this case, the models Hyundai Elantra, Skoda Rapid, Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Camry and others are considered.
