Like every year, The Car Guide publishes its best buys in all vehicle categories.
Although they regularly lose market share to SUVs, minivans remain practical vehicles that can be of great service to families.
Among the vehicles competing in this segment, it is the Toyota Sienna which arrives in first position for 2021 according to the team of Car guide. Completely renewed for the 2021 model year, the new Japanese van now comes with a hybrid powertrain. The 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, combined with electricity, develops 243 combined horsepower.
Available in a front-wheel drive version, the new Sienna can also be fitted with all-wheel drive, which makes it a very interesting model when combined with the hybrid engine.

The other steps of the podium
In second place, it is an American duo that shines: the Chrysler Grand Caravan and Pacifica. With the disappearance of the Dodge Grand Caravan, it is a cheaper cousin of the Pacifica which takes its place in the range and which now bears the Chrysler crest.
These two vehicles offer good road holding and powerful engines. The Pacifica adds the possibility of opting for a plug-in hybrid version capable of driving about 50 km without using a drop of gasoline. And just like the Toyota Sienna, it is possible to opt for all-wheel drive.
The third position goes to the Honda Odyssey, which is getting old against its competitors. Always fun to drive, comfortable and very roomy, the Odyssey struggles to forget the lack of all-wheel drive or hybrid version. Especially since the V6 engine, although efficient, is also greedy.
