As part of the podcast Au Volant, broadcast on QUB Radio, the journalist of Car guide Gabriel Gélinas had the opportunity to meet with Christian Meunier, the brand’s boss Jeep worldwide.
Having met with tremendous success in recent years, Jeep wishes to move from a primarily North American brand to a more global product, marketed in several countries around the world.
During the interview that you can listen to below, Christian Meunier spoke about the electrification of the Jeep brand, which is currently taking off with the arrival of the Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid.
“I think there is a lot of compatibility between the brand and electrification. Jeep is a brand that brings you closer to nature […] and electrification gives a new horizon ”, analyzes Mr. Meunier, who recalls that the advantages of electrification with Jeep products will not be limited only to the ecological aspect, but also to that of performance.
Mr. Meunier also recalled that the new generation of Grand Cherokee will be available in Canada as a plug-in hybrid 4xe variant. The future Grand Wagoneer should also be marketed with some form of electrification.
