Popular band Metallica shared a video where Ukrainian military Taras Stolyar performed the cult composition “Nothing Else Matters” on the bandura.
The video was published on the band's Instagram and Facebook.
Taras Stolyar was on tour with the “Cultural Desant” in the USA from September 16 to November 17. Six professional musicians-turned-military and a front-line volunteer played 170 concerts in different states.
Metallica said they learned about the “Cultural Landing” from guitarist James Hetfield.
We recently learned about the cultural unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from our own James Hetfield. The “Cultural Landing” includes 7 world-class artists who were professional musicians before the war and are now soldiers. The band has just completed 170 concerts as part of a charity tour of the USA, the report says.

He was also a member of the ONUKA band. The musician played one of Metallica's most famous songs – “Nothing Else Matters” on a 62-string bandura.
