Popular Ukrainian band “Druha Rika” presented their version of the hit song “Invite me in my dreams” with lyrics by Bohdan Stelmakh and music by Volodymyr Ivasyuk.

The composition became part of the album “Re: Yaremchuk”, which precedes the release of the tape “Yaremchuk: Incomparable world of beauty” about the legend of Ukrainian pop music – Nazariya Yaremchuk. You can listen to the updated track on YouTube.

“Invite me in my dreams” is an intimate ballad built on sensual lyrics and emotional performance. According to the producer of the collection Maria Yaremchuk, the composition sounds as if it is from the original repertoire of “Druha Rika” and fully reflects their musical style.

When Maria called and invited us to take part in the tribute in honor of her father Nazarii Yaremchuk, we decided to try to “kill two birds with one stone” – to fulfill our dream to sing a song by Volodymyr Ivasyuk, at the same time as the one performed by Nazarii Yaremchuk. But we immediately decided that we would not try to reproduce the sound of the original work. We approached the composition as if we had a conditional harmony of our own song with the vocal part and the text. That is, we agreed to work as if we were writing a new song “Druhoi Rika”, – said the leader of the band Valery Kharchyshyn.

It is interesting that those people who , unfortunately, are not familiar with the work of the Golden Fund, when they first listened to the song performed by “Druha Rika”, they were sure that it was 100% our work. On the one hand, it makes me happy, on the other hand, it saddens me, but it inspires me to call on Ukrainians to form their identity, and for this, to remember their name, their “roots” and to pay attention to the national cultural heritage, in particular musical, and not to miss the drunken “Malorussian” musical fast food from a shovel, – added the leader of the band.
