The average salary in Ukraine has increased to almost 21 thousand hryvnias: who is paid the most

The average salary of full-time employees in Ukraine increased in the second quarter of 2024 by 22.1% to 20,964 hryvnias. Financiers and IT specialists are paid 2-2.5 times more.

This is evidenced by the data of the State Statistics Service.

The highest salaries are observed in the following industries:< /strong>

  • IT and telecommunications – UAH 50,100 (in the first quarter – UAH 49,500);
  • aviation transport – UAH 43,400 (in the first quarter – UAH 34,700 UAH);
  • financial and insurance sphere – UAH 39,900 (in the first quarter – UAH 39,100).

Workers in the spheres of creativity, art and entertainment receive the lowest salaries – 12,791 hryvnias, as well as in the field of library, archive, museum and other cultural institutions – 12,802 hryvnias. In education, the average salary is 15,076 hryvnias.

We note that according to the results of the first quarter of 2024, the average official salary in Ukraine was 18,903 hryvnias. So, during the second quarter, it grew by more than UAH 2,000 or by 10.1%. In comparison with the second quarter of 2023, the average salary increased by 22.1%.

We remind you that from April 1, the minimum salary in Ukraine according to the budget for 2024 increased by 900 hryvnias and is 8 thousand hryvnias every month.
