(Denver) Gabriel Landeskog scored two goals to reach the career 200 plateau and the Colorado Avalanche crushed the St. Louis Blues 8-0 on Friday night.
Nathan MacKinnon scored one goal and two assists in the win as Mikko Rantanen got a 100e goal in the NHL and he added an assist.
Nazem Kadri also amassed a goal and an assist for the Colorado Troop, who recovered after losing to the Blues on Wednesday.
Andre Burakovsky, Joonas Donskoi and Devon Toews also moved the strings for the Avalanche. Philipp Grubauer only faced 20 shots and registered a 12e career shutout. Cale Makar was an accomplice in three goals from his own.
Landeskog started hostilities at 4:03 of the second twenty. Just over 10 minutes later, he scored his 200e goal in the Bettman circuit. Rantanen joined in the fun in the closing minutes of the period.
Jordan Binnington pushed back 20 pucks in front of the Blues’ net before giving way to Ville Husso to start the third period. Husso blocked six shots in his NHL debut.
