The autonomy of the iPhone 16 Pro Max smartphone was compared with other flagships

On the YouTube channel The Tech Chap, a video appeared comparing the autonomy of 13 current flagship smartphones, including models of the iPhone 16 series. Apple's innovations had to compete with Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and other “heavyweights” in tests simulating real everyday use.

In total, 13 smartphones, listed below, took part in the testing. Test conditions included setting the display brightness to 150 nits and the refresh rate to “auto”; (if such an option is available) and connecting to a Wi-Fi network. The YouTube client, camera program, games, and other software were launched sequentially on all devices. Battery life was measured from the start of the test with a fully charged battery until the device was turned off. As a result, “subjects” lasted the following amount of time:

The most durable of the tested Apple gadgets was the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which took third place overall. At the same time, the iPhone 16 Pro lost ground even to the base model. Vivo X100 Pro was the best according to the results of all tests, with a result of 12 hours and 22 minutes of activity on one charge.
