The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said that after the attack, one soldier went missing, and the air defense forces allegedly shot down five missiles.

At the same time, it is written in social networks that there are six injured as a result of the strike. There is no official confirmation of these data.

In August, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUD) of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, told the media about the ability of Ukrainian forces to reach any point in occupied Crimea to defeat the enemy. According to him, there are many different options for the deoccupation of Crimea, but “it is impossible without the military, combat operations”.

Starting from August 2022, the sounds of explosions can be heard in Crimea almost every day. The Russian authorities explain this by shooting at “Ukrainian drones”, “air defense work” or military exercises of the Russian Federation. In October 2022, an explosion occurred on the Kerch bridge. Another explosion rang out on the bridge on July 17, 2023. The peninsula has a high (yellow) level of terrorist threat. Simferopol airport is closed.
