US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin noted that the Armed Forces continue to break through " powerful” lines of defense of the Russian Federation. During the opening of another meeting in the “Rammstein” format; he stressed that the defenders are fighting hard and are liberating territory, so the offensive is “steadily progressing,” reports CNN.
Austin noted that allied military assistance to the Defense Forces will continue “in the long term,” urging "do not make mistakes".
"Ukraine's gains depend on the decisive opportunities provided by the members of this contact group,'' Austin noted, adding that more than $76 billion in direct security assistance has been provided to our country .
He also emphasized that Ukraine still needs to strengthen air defense.
"Air defense saves lives. Therefore, I urge this group to continue to dig deeply into the issue of ground-based air defense of Ukraine, he said. “Our shared commitment will be vital during the current battles and the long road ahead.”
